BUILDING INNOVATION: THE ROLE OF APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING IN KNOWLEDGE DIFFUSION WITHIN FIRMS

Abstract

Apprenticeship training programs play a pivotal role in fostering innovation within firms by facilitating the diffusion of knowledge and skills among employees. This study investigates the impact of firms' participation in apprenticeship training on knowledge diffusion and subsequent innovation outcomes. Through a comprehensive analysis of existing literature and empirical evidence, the study explores the mechanisms through which apprenticeship programs contribute to knowledge sharing, transfer, and creation within organizational settings. Key factors such as mentorship, experiential learning, and collaborative environments are examined to elucidate their role in enhancing innovation capacity. By shedding light on the dynamics of knowledge diffusion through apprenticeship training, this research provides insights into strategies for leveraging apprenticeship programs to promote innovation and competitiveness in firms across various sectors.
