SAFEGUARDING EMPLOYEE FREEDOMS: A STUDY OF INDONESIAN BUSINESS REGULATIONS AND GO-JEK

Abstract

This study explores the intersection of Indonesian business regulations and the protection of employee freedoms within Go-Jek, a leading ride-hailing and on-demand services platform. By examining the regulatory framework governing labor rights in Indonesia, this paper analyzes how these laws impact the working conditions, rights, and freedoms of Go-Jek employees. The research highlights the effectiveness of current regulations in safeguarding employee interests and identifies potential areas for improvement. Through a comprehensive review of legal statutes, company policies, and employee experiences, the study provides insights into the balance between regulatory compliance and the dynamic operational model of Go-Jek, emphasizing the importance of protecting worker freedoms in the evolving gig economy.
